With the chance to win exciting prizes, Britannica Education is on the lookout for young innovators in Australia and New Zealand who can come up with smart ideas to help protect our oceans for future generations. Submissions for this competition are due at the end of National Science Week 2024!
The Ocean Innovators ANZ Challenge is held by Britannica Education to inspire and celebrate young innovators from across Australia. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their science knowledge and innovative ideas around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) for ocean health, with the chance to win some exciting prizes! As part of the Challenge, students will:
Each winning team will receive a Zero-X Action Cam for the classroom and a turtle will be adopted on the group’s behalf from WWF Australia (each winning team will receive a WWF adoption pack!).
The Ocean Innovators ANZ Challenge is open to teams of young people in Years 3-8. There are two Competition categories: Years 3-5 and Years 6-8.*
Teams must consist of 2 – 4 individuals with an “Adult Coach”, which may be a teacher or group leader acting as a mentor and point of contact with Britannica Education.
