Integrating the study of koalas and habitat conservation with Beebots coding and 3D printing can create a dynamic and immersive learning experience for students. Beebots, programmable robots designed for young learners, can be utilised to simulate the movement and behavior of koalas within their natural habitats. Students can program Beebots to navigate through a maze representing a eucalyptus forest, emphasising the koala's reliance on specific trees for food and shelter. 3D printing technology can be employed to create physical models of koalas, their habitats, and the threats they face. Students can design and print these models, gaining a deeper understanding of koala anatomy, habitat structure, and the impact of environmental changes. It encourages students to develop innovative solutions to real-world conservation challenges, inspiring a lifelong passion for environmental stewardship and sustainability. Students will also be holding a fundraiser to support a charity which supports Koalas.
