"GET ME OUT OF HERE!" - Students from Stem Club and Green Team faced off against each other in a series of 3 challenges that explores some of the critical challenges impacting Earth’s human, animal and plant habitation. Points were given (gold stars) for the winning team. Before each challenge, Year 6s who were commentators gave a brief description about the game and how they are linked to this year's schools theme of Species Survival.
First challenge: What's in the box? - nature items were placed in a box where students had to 'feel' and guess what's inside the box.
Second Challenge: Blindfold Taste- drinking different types of juice
Third Challenge: Bobbing for Apples
We ended the showcase with round two of apple bobbing, a challenge between teachers and student! The excitement and energy levels were incredible! Did you know facts on endangered animal and jokes were told throughout the show to engage the audience.
Throughout the day we had science workshops ran by specialist teachers and special guests volunteering their time to take part in this magnificent event. What a fun-filled day that sparked numerous conversations among the students after the event!
Happy Science Week!
