  • Armidale Visitor Information Centre
82 Marsh Street, Armidale NSW 2350, Australia

A ranger, a botanist and an ecologist wander in the New England . . . . . and the community are invited to join them.

UNE Discovery is collaborating with National Parks & Wildlife Services (NPWS) team. We are hosting two visitor walks in the New England area to observe, question and be informed of local flora, fauna, insects and/or fungi. We will question how they have adapted to the changing environment of the region. The university academics, rangers or UNE Discovery science educators will describe whatever species observed on the day in each location. Discussions of their adaptations to the unique New England environment.

Coach travel will be provided from the Armidale Visitor Information Centre for each of the two sessions. Each session is 4-hours. The proposed Discovery Walk locations are:

  • Mother of Ducks Lagoon and Wetlands, Guyra
  • Dangars Falls in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, Armidale

Walk locations to be confirmed closer to the event dates.
