1 Elm Avenue, Armidale NSW 2350, Australia

As part of National Science Week, UNE Discovery is hosting a regional art competition. Highlighting the extraordinary abilities of our Australian animals, birds, insects and plants. Their ability to adapt to their ever-changing world due to human and climate factors.

This competition is open to budding artists of all ages. You are invited to submit an artwork of your chosen Australian species. In submissions, please include a paragraph (no more than 150 words) outlining how your subject has adapted (or is trying to adapt) to a changing environment

We encourage entrants to research their chosen subject. Provide interesting adaptation details with their submission. Artworks will be displayed in a public exhibition. The exhibition will begin in August in UNE’s Dixson Library and continue until the end of September. Entrants and public are invited to the awards night and presentation. Esteemed academics from UNE and UNE Discovery will enthral guests with their experiences of researching and observing the exciting adaptations by our local wildlife. And how this wildlife lives their lives in this changing world.
