The Kingaroy Observatory is located at Kingaroy Airport. The facility is Queensland’s largest self-funded astronomical observatory.

The observatory features an audio-visual Star Theatre, a display centre and an observation deck with three height adjusted Meade 14 inch SCT LX200 GPS computer assisted telescopes. These telescopes show visitors the Moon, planets, nebulae, star clusters and galaxies.

The observatory hosts both day and night shows. Night shows are not suitable for children under five.

Admission fees apply and bookings are essential.
